If you're headed to the New York Comic Con next week, there's an offsite event you may be interested in. Hyundai has announced that they'll present The Walking Dead: A Decade of the Dead, an art gallery featuring rare and iconic artwork from The Walking Dead comic book series:
WHO: "The Walking Dead: A Decade of Dead;" a full schedule of events and entertainment celebrating the 10 year anniversary of "The Walking Dead" property created by Robert Kirkman, during the 2013 New York Comic Con.
WHAT: An art showcase, curated by Sina Grace, former Editorial Director at Skybound Comics, featuring rare artwork, famed illustrations and a signing by Artist Charlie Adlard. Limited edition prints exclusive to the gallery will be distributed to gallery guests daily.
The World Premiere of "THE WALKING DEAD: A DECADE OF DEAD, " a 20 minute documentary chronicling the evolution of the most popular zombie franchise from comic book to the TV show. The documentary includes interviews with The Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman, Actor/Comedian Patton Oswalt, Actor Chris Hardwick as well as members of the AMC series "The Walking Dead." A 15 minute Q+A will immediately follow.
"The Walking Dead: A Decade of Dead" Soiree, a private New York Comic-Con VIP party celebrating a decade of the Eisner Award-winning comic book series The Walking Dead. Hyundai and Skybound, Kirkman's imprint at Image Comics will toast the franchise.
