There's been some big news out of New York Comic Con for fans of the Alien and Predator universes. It has been announced that Dark Horse is planning a relaunch of the comic book series and has four titles in development.

According to io9, the Alien, Predator, and Aliens vs. Predator comic book series will be completely rebooted and will now share a single continuity. Additionally, a Prometheus comic book series is in the works and will be a part of this shared universe. A "writer's room" approach will be taken, with Chris Roberson writing the new Aliens series, Chris Sebela writing Aliens vs. Predator, Joshua Williamson on Predators, and Paul Tobin writing Prometheus.

While the series are considered canon and will follow after the movies, they will not continue the adventures of any of the main characters and will feature a brand new cast. We've included a piece of concept art below, but you can view more and learn more details at: http://io9.com/exclusive-details-on-the-comic-relaunch-of-alien-preda-1443548904
