Last month, we reported on the news that Mick Garris will be shooting a mini-series based on Stephen King's Bag of Bones this July. According to Sea and be Scene (who broke the original story), Pierce Brosnan is currently in negotiations to play the lead role of Mike Noonan.

Shooting is expected to take place in Nova Scotia this summer, but without a final cast list, we wonder if the schedule got pushed back a bit. For those unfamiliar with the novel, here is the plot synopsis:

“Several years after his wife’s death, novelist Mike Noonan still suffers writer’s block. A dream inspires him to return to the couple’s summer retreat in western Maine, a lakeside house called Sara Laughs. Shortly after arriving, Noonan is caught in the middle of a custody battle involving the daughter of an attractive young widow and the child’s enormously wealthy grandfather. He also discovers that Sara Laughs is haunted and that his late wife, Joanna, still has something to tell him.”

There is no information on which station this mini-series will air on, but if Pierce Brosnan joins the cast, we don't think they'll have any trouble finding interest. We will post another update once casting is confirmed or other cast members are revealed.
