An adaptation of Stephen King's Bag of Bones has been mentioned on and off for a while now. Originally, there were plans to turn it into a feature film, but it appears that Mick Garris is shooting a Bag of Bones mini-series in July.

For those who have not read it, the 1998 novel tells the story of a writer who is being visited by ghost of his deceased wife: "Several years after his wife's death, novelist Mike Noonan still suffers writer's block. A dream inspires him to return to the couple's summer retreat in western Maine, a lakeside house called Sara Laughs. Shortly after arriving, Noonan is caught in the middle of a custody battle involving the daughter of an attractive young widow and the child's enormously wealthy grandfather. He also discovers that Sara Laughs is haunted and that his late wife, Joanna, still has something to tell him."

Sea and be Scene is reporting that pre-production has already started, with plans to film from July 6th to August 31st in Nova Scotia. They also note that there is no official air date or premiere channel announced at this time. For more information, head over to the source link below. [Thanks, DC]
