Guillermo del Toro's Pacific Rim has been given an official release date by Warner Bros. We knew they were planning for summer 2013, but now it's officially set at July 12th, 2013. It's such a long wait before we see Guillermo del Toro's next movie, but hopefully it will be worth the wait.

“Set in a future in which malevolent creatures threaten the earth, the planet must band together and use highly advanced technology to eradicate the growing menace.”

The movie is currently in pre-production and will start filming late this year. Charlie Hunnam and Idris Elba are officially signed on for roles, with Charlie Day almost official as well.
