Early Look at The Walking Dead Season 4 Blu-ray ‘Tree Walker’ Case

Every year, McFarlane Toys tops itself with The Walking Dead limited edition Blu-ray case design and we have an early look at the Season 4 'Tree Walker' case. This is being shown off at Toy Fair 2014 in New York City as a prototype, but it looks like the design is pretty far along, so this should be close to what we see hit stores.

As you can see from the image below (thanks to Toy Ark!), it says that it will be available in June, which would be slightly earlier than the previous Blu-ray/DVD releases for The Walking Dead, so don't be surprised if it doesn't actually come out until August. The Blu-ray release has not been officially announced, but the cost for the Season 3 limited edition Blu-ray was $149.99.

The 'Tree Walker' can be seen in the first half of Season 4 and was easily one of the most impressive zombies we've seen this season. Here's what Norman Reedus and Greg Nicotero had to say about it last year during our interviews at Comic-Con:

Norman Reedus: There’s a walker in the teaser we just showed that should be in the Louvre. It’s the most beautiful walker you’ve ever seen.

Greg Nicotero: Robert Kirkman wrote that gag and it’s a great script. They see a walker in the woods and a tree has fallen over it and broken it in half. We buried a guy in the ground and put in fake legs, making it really elaborate. It’s such a great visual, but it tells a story. Carl and Hershel are out in the woods and see that walker. The threat can come from anywhere and they are never really safe.
