We may know very little about it at the moment, but The Conjuring 2 has an official release date in 2015. Warner Bros. has announced that The Conjuring sequel will be getting a Halloween release on October 23rd, 2015. After seeing a number of horror movies pushing for January / February releases and very little this past October, it's nice to know that horror fans will have something new to check out during the Halloween season this and next year.

As we reported previously, both Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga signed on for the sequel when they were cast in the first movie. It is unknown if James Wan will return to direct, but Warner Bros. / New Line would obviously like that to happen. For those that missed the previous news, a spin-off movie will be released before The Conjuring 2 hits theaters. Titled Annabelle, the movie will follow the evil doll we saw in The Conjuring  and filming has already started, with John R. Leonetti behind the camera. A release date has not yet been set, but the spin-off is due out later this year.
