Will The Cabin in the Woods ever see the light of day? Expected to be released back in 2009 and put on hold when MGM ran into financial problems, the film is now in the hands of Lionsgate. Although release plans have not been revealed, Bloody Disgusting has the first image from the movie, so maybe Lionsgate is getting ready to announce a release date.

The Cabin in the Woods is directed by Drew Goddard, written by Drew Goddard and Joss Whedon, and stars Chris Hemsworth, Kristen Connolly, Anna Hutchison, Jesse Williams, Richard Jenkins, Bradley Whitford, and Brian White. Continue reading to see the first image...
