Who would win in a fight: a fainting goat made of chocolate with no depth perception, or a mime who throws fireballs while wearing spring shoes? This is one of many bizarre showdown scenarios to be found in the tabletop card game Superfight, which has just announced that they have teamed up with Skybound Entertainment and are looking to develop an expansion pack set in the world of The Walking Dead Comic book series.

Darin Ross, the creator of Superfight, approached Skybound with the idea for The Walking Dead expansion pack, and while no official release date has been set, it's only a matter of time before we could see key characters from the comics in crazy situations, like Rick Grimes grabbing a rubber chicken with his eyes closed and going head-to-head with a walker on ice skates who's prone to sea sickness. That's not an official example, but expect to see some zany setups with Robert Kirkman's characters—both the beloved and loathed ones.

Skybound will be selling the regular version of Superfight at the San Diego Comic-Con from their booth #2729. We'll have more information on this collaboration between Superfight and Skybound as details develop, but if you're interested in the original version of the card game or want to place an order, visit superfightgame.com. We also have the official press release and an introductory Superfight video (courtesy of Superfight!) below:

LOS ANGELES, CA – "Skybound Entertainment, the multimedia company behind Robert Kirkman's The Walking Dead and other titles, has partnered with Darin Ross creator of the wildly popular card game Superfight. At its core, Superfight is a game that pits players against each other in a battle to determine which super villain would win in a fight.

The joint venture between Skybound and Superfight arose when Darin approached the company about creating an expansion pack based on The Walking Dead. At its core, Skybound is a company founded by creators for creators, and Shawn Kirkham, Skybound’s Director of Business Development, saw an opportunity to work with someone who has the passion and creativity that the company looks for in all its partnerships.

“Bringing Superfight into the Skybound family is the perfect extension of our vision. Working with a creator such as Darin is absolutely energizing. This is the type of excitement I had when I first started working on The Walking Dead. There are so many possibilities ahead of us,” Kirkham stated.

Creator Darin Ross added, "Skybound is the perfect partner for Superfight. They understand the game's audience, that is clear. But more importantly to me, they love making things as much as I do, and they care very much about making those things as good as they can be. We are a perfect fit.”

Currently Superfight can be purchased at superfightgame.com. Skybound will also sell Superfight at conventions nationwide including the company’s booth at the 2014 San Diego International Comic Con. Skybound’s booth can be located in the main exhibitor hall – booth #2729. Plans for nationwide distribution are also moving forward."
