"There are daggers in men's smiles." With its macabre ending and high body count, William Shakespeare's Macbeth is far from a happy play, so it can be considered a bad omen to find one of its quotes written in the condensation on your car's windshield. But unfortunately for Christine, that's exactly what she discovers one frantic night in Something Wicked, a horror film that hits DVD on March 17th from ARC Entertainment and features a cast that includes Brittany Murphy in her final film performance. We've been provided with an exclusive clip from Something Wicked in which a night swim turns sinister.
"Inspired by true events, a young couple seeks to re-build their lives after a disastrous car crash that kills her parents. But secrets from their past threated to disrupt their budding relationship. Christine (Shantel VanSanten) is stalked by a creepy, masked stranger, while James (John Robinson) experiences freakish encounters that nearly kill him. Christine’s sisterin-law, Susan (Brittany Murphy), a psychiatrist who observes the couple’s deteriorating relationship, sets out to determine what sinister forces are driving the madness. As she digs for answers, she finds out some things are best left unknown."
Directed by Darin Scott off a screenplay by Joe Colleran, Something Wicked stars Shantel VanSanten (“Gang Related,” Final Destination), John Robinson (Transformers, Lords of Dogtown), Julian Morris (“The New Girl,” “Once Upon a Time”), James Patrick Stuart (“Supernatural,” “Hot in Cleveland”) and Brittany Murphy (Clueless, 8 Mile). On March 17th, ARC Entertainment will release Something Wicked on DVD.
