Alicia Vikander brings Lara Croft back to the big screen in the latest trailer for the new Tomb Raider movie.
Tomb Raider is slated to come out on March 16th, 2018 from Warner Bros. Pictures. This will mark the third film adaptation of the Tomb Raider video game franchise, following 2001's Lara Croft: Tomb Raider and 2003's Lara Croft: Tomb Raider – The Cradle of Life, both of which starred Angelina Jolie as the title character. The new movie will serve as an origin story for Lara Croft, who first graced screens in Eidos Interactive's 1996 video game Tomb Raider.
Horror and thriller fans may be interested to know that the new Tomb Raider movie is directed by Roar Uthaug, who helmed the 2006 slasher film Cold Prey and the 2015 environmental thriller The Wave.

The film stars Oscar winner Alicia Vikander (Ex Machina, The Danish Girl) in the lead role, under the direction of Roar Uthaug (The Wave), with Oscar-winner Graham King (The Departed) producing under his GK Films banner. The film's production begins on the heels of the 20th anniversary of the wildly popular videogame franchise from Square Enix, Crystal Dynamics and Eidos Montreal.
Tomb Raider also stars Dominic West (Money Monster, 300), Walton Goggins (The Hateful Eight, Django Unchained) and Daniel Wu (AMC¹s Into the Badlands)."
