New ALIEN: COVENANT Teaser Poster Prepares to Hatch

The first teaser poster for Alien: Covenant warned you to "run," so it's rather fitting that the second teaser poster urges you to "hide."

Unveiled on the official Alien Facebook page with the caption, "Trailer tomorrow," the new teaser poster (featuring a Xenomorph egg) can be viewed below.

"Ridley Scott returns to the universe he created in ALIEN with ALIEN: COVENANT, the second chapter in a prequel trilogy that began with PROMETHEUS — and connects directly to Scott’s 1979 seminal work of science fiction. Bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy, the crew of the colony ship Covenant discovers what they think is an uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark, dangerous world — whose sole inhabitant is the “synthetic” David (Michael Fassbender), survivor of the doomed Prometheus expedition."

A follow-up to 2012's Prometheus and a prequel to Alien (1979), Alien: Covenant was directed by Ridley Scott and features the return of Michael Fassbender, who reprises his role as the android David and also plays the new android Walter.

Additionally, Alien: Covenant stars Katherine Waterston, Billy Crudup, Danny McBride, Demián Bichir, Carmen Ejogo, Amy Seimetz, Jussie Smollet, Callie Hernandez, Nathaniel Dean, Alexander England, Benjamin Rigby, and James Franco.

20th Century Fox will release Alien: Covenant in theaters on May 19th, 2017, and Scott, Fassbender, and McBride will be in attendance at the SXSW Film Festival this March to reveal special footage from the film. In case you missed it, check out our previous coverage of Alien: Covenant:
