There's been no real news on a sequel to Prometheus moving forward, but there are a number of Alien releases to look forward to this year, including the comic book series relaunch, a new video game, and books. Later this month, the first of three new Alien novels will be released. Written by Tim Lebbon, we have a look at the cover art and release details for Alien - Out of the Shadows:

"In space no one can hear you scream... The massively acclaimed Alien franchise is one of the most successful of all time, beginning with the first film in 1979. In a dramatic twist, this novel will return us to that time, to Ellen Ripley, and to never-before-revealed secrets of the Weyland-Yutani Corporations ... secrets that lead into the events of the second film, Aliens... and beyond!"

This book is being sold as a paperback and e-book, and is 304 pages. In the UK, it will be available on January 31st, while the US will get it on January 28th. Take a look at the cover art below and check back later this month for a preview and interview with Tim Lebbon.
