Now that budget concerns are out of the way, casting for World War Z has started. Anthony Mackie, who can be seen in The Hurt Locker and the upcoming Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, has also been offered a role in the upcoming zombie film. At this time there are no details about which role he may play.
If he signs on, he will be joining Brad Pitt, along with Mireille Enos who is negotiating to play Pitt's wife. World War Z could begin filming as early as this summer with Marc Forster (Quantum of Solace) attached to direct.
