Happy April, everyone! As we gear up for a brand new month, that means we also have a more horror and sci-fi home entertainment releases coming out this week, making for the perfect way to kick everything off. If you happened to miss it during its theatrical run, The Man Who Killed Hitler and then The Bigfoot heads home on both formats this Tuesday, and I cannot recommend it enough. Scream Factory and IFC Midnight have teamed up for the home releases of Pledge and Rust Creek, and if you’re a big Hellboy fan, two of the animated Hellboy movies are headed 4K Ultra HD as well.

Other Blu-ray and DVD releases for April 2nd include Terror 5, The Man With The Magic Box, Red Island, The Banished and Toxic Tutu.

The Man Who Killed Hitler and then The Bigfoot (RLJE Films, Blu-ray & DVD)

Since WWII, Calvin Barr has lived with the secret that he was responsible for the assassination of Adolf Hitler. Now, decades later, the US government has called on him again for a new top-secret mission. Bigfoot has been living deep in the Canadian wilderness and is carrying a deadly plague that is now threatening to spread to the general population. Relying on the same skills that he honed during the war, Calvin must set out to save the free world yet again. Starring Sam Elliott (A Star is Born), Aidan Turner (“Poldark”), Caitlin FitzGerald (“Masters of Sex”) and Ron Livingston (Office Space), THE MAN WHO KILLED HITLER AND THEN THE BIGFOOT follows the epic adventures of an American legend that no one has ever heard of.

Pledge (Scream Factory/IFC Midnight, Blu-ray & DVD)

Three friends get the chance to live their college dream when they're invited to join an elite fraternity — but first they'll have to survive the hazing from hell. Freshman social misfits Ethan (Phillip Andre Botello), David (Zack Weiner), and Justin (Zachery Byrd) are desperate to improve their terminally uncool reputations by pledging to one of their university's prestigious Greek houses. When every frat on campus turns them down, they are unexpectedly recruited by a shadowy social club offering them access to an exclusive world of raging parties, eligible coeds, and VIP social status. The catch? A sadistic initiation ritual that goes from depraved to deadly over the course of forty-eight booze-and-blood-soaked hours.

Rust Creek (Scream Factory/IFC Midnight, Blu-ray & DVD)

An ordinary woman must summon extraordinary courage to survive a nightmare odyssey in the backwoods of Rust Creek in this harrowing survival thriller. Sawyer (Hermione Corfield) is an ambitious, overachieving college senior with a seemingly bright future. While on her way to a job interview, a wrong turn leaves her stranded deep in the frozen Kentucky woods. Suddenly, she finds herself facing her own mortality as she’s punished by the elements and pursued by a band of ruthless outlaws. With nowhere left to run, Sawyer is forced into an uneasy alliance with Lowell (Jay Paulson), an enigmatic loner with shadowy intentions ... and perhaps her only chance to escape Rust Creek alive.

Terror 5 (Artsploitation Films, DVD)

While most of the residents of a small Argentinian town attend a funeral procession following a tragic building collapse, the few who do not will face terrors of their own in this mashup of urban legends from brothers-filmmakers Sebastián and Federico Rotstein. Think bondage, torture, zombies...and governmental corruption. Juan goes on a date with Sonia to a school where students get even with teachers. Luco and Paulo create an elaborate plan to swap girlfriends. Two lovers escape into a motel for a night of passion, while a group of friends enjoys a snuff film. As their primal urges distract them all, local officials are judged innocent of the neglect that caused the building collapse and then the horror really begins.

Red Island (Unified Pictures, DVD)

In an effort to repair a stale relationship John accompanies his archaeologist girlfriend Amy to a remote island to locate ancient native artifacts. They discover extremely old cave markings along with a long lost sacred mask. When it disappears strange occurrences happen, which unleash a mythological creature that hunts them down as they try to escape and get off the island.
