Last year, the Queen of Halloween was going to get a royal treatment in a special all-region Blu-ray release of Elvira, Mistress of the Dark from German distributor Cinespectral Films. While that Blu-ray was eventually taken off the release schedule, Arrow Video is giving Cassandra Peterson fans new hope with an exciting tease of their upcoming home media releases.

On their Facebook page, Arrow Video revealed two teaser images for upcoming Blu-ray releases, including a partial image of Peterson's iconic character from the poster artwork for Elvira, Mistress of the Dark (see below).

Arrow Video will reveal their April Blu-ray releases this Friday, and while Elvira, Mistress of the Dark isn't confirmed to be coming out on Blu-ray that month, it will be released sometime this year. It's not yet known if the Elvira, Mistress of the Dark Blu-ray will be US-only, UK-only, or include both regions, but we'll be sure to keep Daily Dead readers updated on further details when they are announced.

For those unfamiliar with Elvira, Mistress of the Dark, we have the official synopsis and trailer for the 1988 horror comedy below.

From Arrow Video: "***NEW ANNOUNCEMENTS ARE COMING!***

Our April new announcements are taking place this Friday (January 26th) at 3.00pm GMT / 7.00am PST / 10.00am EST.

This month is going to be a light one (with 2 titles each for the UK and US) so, to make up for this, we've decided to give you folks two teases for a couple of titles coming later this year - we're sure you'll know what they are!

Make sure to stay tuned to our page as a few more upcoming releases will be randomly teased over the coming months!"

Synopsis (via Amazon): "Wise-cracking vamp, Elvira, wants to put on a show in Las Vegas but she's short $50,000, so when she learns that her wealthy Aunt Morgana has just died, she rushes off to old-fashioned, conservative Falwell, Massachusetts, for the reading of the will. In typical Elvira fashion, she can't help but stir things up when she makes her appearance in Falwell."
