According to Heat Vision, Bill Nighy (Underworld, Shaun of the Dead) is in talks to join the Total Recall Reboot. It is reported that he will play the slightly renamed resistance leader Quatto.

The story has been changed from the original movie, so it is uncertain how that will affect the role of Quatto in the film. It is said that the reboot "involves nation states Euromerica and New Shanghai. Farrell plays Douglas Quaid, a factory worker in the latter who begins to believe he is a spy — although he doesn't know for which side".

The film will be directed by Len Wiseman (Underworld, Live Free or Die Hard) and features Collin Farrell, Kate Beckinsale, Jessical Biel, Bryan Cranston, and Ethan Hawke. There is a planned release date of August 3rd, 2012.
