After partnering with Hulu for the monthly Into the Dark anthology series, Blumhouse Television is continuing to expand its reach on streaming services by teaming up with Amazon Studios for new projects.

Multiple sources, including Variety, report that Blumhouse Television has made an agreement with Amazon Studios to produce "eight feature-length thrillers" that will be released globally on the Amazon Prime Video service.

While the directors, titles, plots, and release dates of the eight feature-length projects have yet to be announced, the "stories with dark themes" will be directed by "filmmakers of diverse backgrounds," with Deadline reporting that the projects will be "connected thematically."

Here's what Jason Blum had to say about the deal:

“We are delighted Amazon is entrusting Blumhouse to deliver its signature thrills and chills to its global audience through this deal. This is a great opportunity for Blumhouse Television to empower underrepresented filmmakers offering a fresh take on the dark genres loved by fans the world over.”

We'll be sure to keep Daily Dead readers updated on these eight new feature-length projects as more information is revealed.
