Over the last several weeks, we've shared a look at some of the stunning artwork that will be featured at Below the Line 2: An Exhibition of Modern Movie Art exhibition in Hamilton, Ontario, including artist "Ghoulish" Gary Pullin's Night of the Living Dead poster and pins. With the anticipated artwork celebration kicking off this Friday, we're pleased to showcase two more pieces that will be on display at the event, including Sara Deck's acrylic/oil depiction of Pennywise, which would be right at home hanging on a wall in the Neibolt House.

Below, you can check out Deck's Pennywise artwork and The Shining scratch board by Paul Jackson. Below the Line 2 opens on September 8th and runs at the same time as Hamilton's art-centric SuperCrawl Weekend. "Below the Line 2: An Exhibition of Modern Movie Art opens on September 8th 6:30 pm - 10:30 pm at Mills Hardware 95 King Street, Hamilton Ontario.

Curated by Gary Pullin and Sara Deck, the show features stunning, silkscreened movie prints from today’s best and brightest poster artists including Jason Edmiston, Justin Erickson, Paige Reynolds, Matty Ryan Tobin, Kevin Tong, Sara Deck, Tracie Ching, Paul Jackson, Vincent Marcone, Vance Kelly and Gary Pullin.

Below the Line runs in tandem with SuperCrawl Weekend, an annual art event in Hamilton, Ontario Canada that attracts thousands of art lovers who walk the downtown streets to buy from tons of local artists and to check out live music.

Most of the artists are dropping brand new posters and some are displaying their favourites as well as a few original pieces. In addition to the opening, Sara, Gary and Matty will be running a double wide booth during SuperCrawl all weekend long, so make sure to drop by and check out the prints from the show, as well as previous stock from the artists. Make sure to follow @below_the_line_ on Instagram, a few artists from the show will be dropping by the booth to do signings and to meet fans.

Sponsors Grey Matter Art, HorrorHound Magazine, the documentary 24x36: A Movie About Movie Posters and Fright Rags have all come on board to help promote the event and celebrate screen-printed movie art.

Below the Line: An Exhibition of Modern Film Posters was started in 2016 by Sara Deck and Gary Pullin to bring attention to the many artists that live in Hamilton or the Toronto area and was created to turn our city onto the alternative screen printed movie poster scene that has become highly collectible in recent years.
