Death is only the beginning in the Underworld of Sideshow Collectibles' Court of the Dead, in which wars rage for total control of souls and the otherworldly realms that they wander. Visiting Sideshow Collectibles' booth at Comic-Con is always a highlight for the Daily Dead team, but nothing could have prepared us for their jaw-dropping Court of the Dead display this year.

For those who can't make it to Comic-Con this year, you can view Sideshow Collectibles' amazingly detailed Court of the Dead collectibles in the photo gallery below, and check here for our latest Comic-Con coverage from San Diego.

Press Release: "Fans of the spookier side of the collectibles market will also love our very own horror / dark fantasy property, THE COURT OF THE DEAD. In this colorful and twisted world, only Death himself can save mankind from eternal enslavement in the war between Heaven and Hell.

The Court of the Dead has already proved to be a hit with horror enthusiasts. Court fans (affectionately known as "Mourners") have embraced the project wholeheartedly, buying books, collectibles, comics, apparel and more - and this new universe is constantly expanding to cater to an increasing demand for the Underworld.

This year, Sideshow's booth (#1929) has become a veritable portal to the realm of the dead. A giant environment display will allow attendees to literally step into the Underworld. A life-sized version of Death: The Alltaker will greet "Mourners" and innocent mortals alike, while a veritable host of new characters will be represented by all-new statues, figures and pieces of original art.

The Court of the Dead will also be creeping into the mortal realm via several other booths at Comic-Con. Our friends and brand partners Han Cholo (#2616), Project Raygun (#1028), Insight Editions (#3721), and Badali Jewelry (#532) will all have their own unique Court of the Dead merchandise - plus, by visiting all of these booths, fans will be able to participate in a scavenger hunt for an SDCC Exclusive collectible pin!
