After being featured in The Conjuring and two separate spinoff films, Annabell is coming back to the Warrens. New Line Cinema held their ScareDiego presentation at Comic-Con this evening and our own Heather Wixson was there when it was revealed that the next Annabelle movie will revolve around everyone's favorite creepy doll tormenting the Warrens' daughter after they bring Annabelle back to their archive. Not only will the Warren family have to worry about Annabelle, but also other artifacts in the archive room that she awakens.

Gary Dauberman, who wrote The Nun, Annabelle, Annabelle: Creation, and IT, will be stepping behind the camera for this one as his directorial debut, with a targeted theatrical release date of July 3rd, 2019. There's no word on whether Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga will be reprising their roles as Ed and Lorraine Warren, but we'd be surprised if that isn't the case and we'll be sure to update this story as soon as we get official confirmation.

The Conjuring universe continues to thrive, and The Nun, starring Taissa Farmiga and Demian Bichir, will be the next movie hitting theaters on September 7th. A movie based on The Conjuring 2's "Crooked Man" is also still in the works, along with The Conjuring 3.
