In addition to announcing a new Blade movie this past weekend at Comic-Con, Marvel Studios also revealed in Hall H in San Diego that the anticipated Doctor Strange movie will be titled Doctor Strange in The Multiverse of Madness.

Announced by Marvel Studios' Kevin Feige, Doctor Strange in The Multiverse of Madness will star Benedict Cumberbatch as the Sorcerer Supreme, Doctor Stephen Strange, with Elizabeth Olsen also starring as the Scarlet Witch, according to Marvel.com.

Doctor Strange director Scott Derrickson (The Exorcism of Emily RoseSinister, and Deliver Us From Evil) will return to direct the sequel, which is slated for a May 7th, 2021 release. According to Deadline, Derrickson told the Hall H crowd, "We are going to make the first scary MCU film."

Doctor Strange in The Multiverse of Madness will connect to the story of WandaVision, the upcoming series that will stream on Disney+ and star Olsen as the Scarlet Witch (aka Wanda Maximoff) and Paul Bettany as Vision.
