Welcome back for day six of Daily Dead’s 2013 Holiday Gift Guide! It’s a brand new week, which means we’ve got five more days of badass horror and sci-fi themed gift ideas in store for you. Keep checking back each day for more fun gifts picked with you guys in mind.

Kicking off our second gift guide week, we’ve some Universal Monsters-themed choices, a brand new horror-themed collectibles set from Funko, an array of flasks perfect for anyone who loves their booze as much as they love their monsters, and another amazing Cthulhu-themed item that’s just as badass as last week’s knit Cthulhu ski mask choice.

Read on for the lowdown on today’s gift choices below and see you back here for more holiday cheer tomorrow!

Movie: Today’s first gift selection is actually something that came out last year, the Universal Classic Monsters: The Essential Collection Blu-Ray box set. Since this set came with a hefty price tag attached when it was released last fall, I figured many fans may have had to skip picking it up. Now, thankfully the price for the Universal Classic Monsters set has dropped drastically which means owning it is a bit more feasible now.

The set is as stunning as you’ve heard. Universal really put a lot of time into the restoration process and it shows in the final result- each film, from Dracula to The Phantom of the Opera to The Mummy to The Wolf Man, all look incredibly vibrant with details popping more vividly here than ever before. Truly the best box set released in some time. Buy the Blu-ray collection HERE.

Apparel: So last week I found a badass Cthulhu ski mask and soon after, I thought to myself- self, why stop there? Surely, there must be other ways to keep yourself warm while paying homage to Lovecraft’s iconic creature. And lo and behold, I stumbled upon these truly amazing Cthulhu slippers which might be the greatest thing ever created. Seriously, if you need to win some major points with any classic horror fan, get them these slippers and you’ll be golden for life. Totally unique and totally irresistible. Buy them HERE.

The next item I found is for all the zombie fans out there who are looking to deck their halls with hordes of the undead- a zombie-themed t-shirt that has a fun classic Christmas sweater riff to it. I love the fun little details to it, like the barbed-wire borders and the criss-crossing chainsaws and thought this would be a fun gift for all you zombie fans. The shirt is also available in an array of colors; you can check them out HERE at Redbubble.com.

Accessories: For our second gift guide week, I wanted to feature more accessory-type items and first up is this great selection of horror-themed flasks I discovered over at Cafepress.com. They’ve got hundreds of flasks, so there’s a great selection to choose from; two flasks that caught my eye in particular were the Universal Monsters flask or this awesome Jaws-inspired flask that pays homage to Robert Shaw’s iconic character, Quint. Check out the whole selection right HERE.

Collectibles:  The first item on the docket for today’s collectible gift suggestions is the Funko Horror Collection Mini-Figure Set that is pretty much a genre collector’s dream come to life. The whole set is 24 pieces and generally each piece runs about $8-$10 when sold separately, making the set a great choice if you’ve got a hard-to-buy-for horror collector on your list this holiday season. Check out the Funko Mini-Figure Set HERE.

While looking around on Amazon for horror keychains a few weeks ago, I came across a company called Bilderbungers who does a ton of string keychains made to look like some of our very favorite horror icons. A few that caught my eye were the Hannibal Lecter, Chucky, Werewolf and the Freddy, Jason and Michael keychain trio, which I thought were all pretty awesome (and yes, kind of adorable too- I just love the tiny severed head Jason is holding). Check out their entire collection HERE.

Today’s final collectibles choice is also my final children’s game selection. “Zed the Zombie” has players race to see who can put Zed back together the fastest. It doesn’t seem like the most complicated game out there, but it looks like it should be a lot of fun for kids aged 6-8 (and yes, probably a ton of fun for all you kids at heart out there too).  Toys “R” Us has “Zed the Zombie” right now for around $23 and it’s the cheapest I found online- you can buy it HERE.
