Happy Friday, readers! Welcome back for another installment of Daily Dead Salutes Your Shorts, our bi-monthly column that turns the spotlight on several horror and sci-fi themed short films in an effort to show this storytelling format a little more love.

For this installment, we have an assortment of excellent shorts, including Jill Gevargizian's early effort CALL GiRL, the horror comedy Teddy Bears Are For Lovers (which looks to be on its way to becoming a feature film very soon), It Began Without Warning from Santiago C. Tapia and Jessica Curtwright, and the family-oriented fright fest Home Education by filmmaker Andrea Niada.

CALL GiRL (Directed by Jill Gevargizian): "In one man's attempt to exploit his date night via video-chat, he ends up sharing something far more disturbing."

Teddy Bears Are For Lovers (Directed by Almog Avidan Antonir): "A short horror comedy following a 20-something Casanova who becomes haunted by the teddy bears he gave to his ex-girlfriends."

It Began Without Warning (Directed by Santiago C. Tapia & Jessica Curtwright): "IT BEGAN WITHOUT WARNING Or: 'The time has come,' the Walrus said. And all the little Oysters stood and waited in a row."

Home Education (Directed by Andrea Niada): "An inquisitive girl is convinced by her controlling mother that her dead dad will resurrect if they show how much they miss him. That is, until he begins to rot..."
