Happy Friday, readers! Our bi-monthly Salutes Your Shorts series took a bit of a summer vacation over the last few months, but we’re back today with a new batch of killer horror shorts that you should definitely check out just as soon as you can.

First up is The Stylist from Jill Gevargizian, who is currently crowdfunding her first feature film based on this short (you can find out more details about that HERE), and without a doubt, she’s a filmmaker who has continued to show great promise as a visual storyteller over the last several years.

Also on tap for today’s installment of Salutes Your Shorts is The Wolf Who Came to Dinner from Jem Garrard and the psychological horrors of Max Silver’s Trunk Space.

Enjoy!

The Stylist (Directed by Jill Gevargizian)

Synopsis: Claire is a lonely hairstylist with an unnerving desire to escape her disappointing reality. When her final client of the evening arrives with the request to look perfect, Claire has plans of her own.

The Wolf Who Came to Dinner (Directed by Jem Garrard)

Synopsis: When Beatrice Barkley (Audrey Smallman), an 8 year old horror fanatic, sets out to prove that her mother's (Caroline Cave - Van Helsing) dinner date is a werewolf (Adrian Hough - Chilling Adventures of Sabrina), he must convince her she has nothing to fear.

Trunk Space (Directed by Max Silver)

Synopsis: Anna and Priss are on a road trip across a sun-soaked, desolate stretch of desert when Anna decides to pick up a mysterious hitchhiker by the side of the road, a decision Priss disagrees with. The hitchhiker both sparks Anna's interest and incurs Priss's annoyance, and the trio constantly negotiate ever shifting undercurrents of intrigue and hostility. But as the conversation unfolds -- and the hitchhiker acts strangely -- the pair begin to wonder if the man they've picked up has dangerous intentions.
