Shortly after the release of the original Dead Space, it was announced that it would be heading to the big screen. D.J. Caruso had been attached at one time as a director, but there hasn't been any kind of update on the status of the film. Since Dead Space 2 was released, BBC News asked Visceral's Ian Milham about movie plans:
"We would love to have a live action film and we've had a lot of discussion. But one of the reasons Dead Space still exists and is popular is because we've made sure to do everything right. So we're doing the same with the film, not just a cheap cash-in but to do something really worthwhile, so we'll see."
I really loved Dead Space 2 (you can read my review here), and can easily see this being made into a feature film, so let's hope they get the right talents on board and get started!
