With Christmas only a few days away, this week’s home entertainment releases are indeed a bit light but that doesn’t mean fans won’t have a few titles to look forward to. Several SyFy series are making their way onto Blu-ray and DVD, Lionsgate is also releasing the latest After Dark Original film, Sanatorium, and we’ve got an indie thriller and action flick from Universal to look forward to as well.
SPOTLIGHT TITLES:
Continuum: Season Three (Universal Studios Home Entertainment, Blu-ray & DVD)
In Season 3 of Continuum, Kiera (Rachel Nichols) faces the immediate consequences of Alec's (Erik Knudsen) betrayal at the end of Season 2 when he disappeared in a flash of light with the time travel device Kiera hoped might send her home. Alec's impulsive decision sets in motion a chain of events which pushes Kiera into a shocking alliance with a former enemy. Kiera must also contend with a newly strategic Liver8, and a growing darkness in her police partner, Carlos (Victor Webster). Ultimately, all roads lead to young Alec, whose genius has never been more tested. And his choices force Kiera - and everyone to examine all they hold dear.

Dominion: Season One (Universal Studios Home Entertainment, Blu-ray & DVD)
Dominion is an epic supernatural drama set in the near future. Specifically, 25 years after "The Extinction War," when an army of lower angels, assembled by the archangel Gabriel, waged war against mankind. The archangel Michael, turning against his own kind, chose to side with humanity. Rising out of the ashes of this long battle are newly fortified cities which protect human survivors. At the center of the series is the city of Vega, a glistening empire that has formed from the ruins of what was once Las Vegas.
Dominion stars Christopher Egan (Resident Evil: Extinction), Tom Wisdom (300), Roxanne McKee (Game of Thrones), Alan Dale (Lost), Anthony Stewart Head (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) and Luke Allen-Gale (The Borgias).

Sanatorium (Lionsgate, DVD)
On New Year’s Eve in 1955, Richard Howell, a patient at the Hillcrest Sanatorium, went on a bloody, child-killing rampage, before he hanged himself. Fifty-six years later, a team of ghost hunters – from the popular TV series “Ghost Trackers” – prepares to spend the night at the sanatorium. They hope to capture paranormal activity for the entertainment of their show’s fans. Instead, they unleash a horrifying force of evil…hell-bent on their destruction.
