Details on Bates Motel Season 2’s New Characters

With a Bates Motel panel taking place at Comic-Con next weekend, we're expecting plenty of new information about the upcoming second season. Until then, a new report confirms three new characters that we'll meet, including another member of the family.

Here's what executive producer Carlton Cuse recently told TV Guide about his plans for next season: "We would be remiss if we didn't meet some other members of the Bates family... I don't want to say who, but we are definitely going to learn about their family tree, which has more twisty branches." Nestor Carbonell also hinted that we'll be learning more about Dylan's father: "the big question mark is Dylan's dad... There's certainly a story to be told there."

According to TVLine, the new characters include:

• George, a recently divorced charmer in his late 40s who could be The One for Norma
• Christine, a local socialite in her late 30s who becomes Norma’s first real friend
• Caleb, Norma’s estranged fortysomething brother who comes to town to coax his little sis into investing in a presumably shady business venture."
