We're about an hour away from The Day of the Doctor, the Doctor Who 50th Anniversary special episode. In case you missed them, we have both prequel minisodes that you should see before watching The Day of the Doctor, along with an updated photo gallery. We also have a pre-show livestream that starts at 2:15pm EST.

"The Doctors embark on their greatest adventure in this 50th anniversary special. In 2013, something terrible is awakening in London’s National Gallery; in 1562, a murderous plot is afoot in Elizabethan England; and somewhere in space an ancient battle reaches its devastating conclusion. All of reality is at stake as the Doctor’s own dangerous past comes back to haunt him."

The Day of the Doctor is expected to air simultaneously in over 200 countries. Make sure to check your local listings for the specific air date/time in your country. Unlike a traditional episode, this special is more like a Doctor Who movie and will be 75 minutes in length. The Day of the Doctor stars Matt Smith, David Tennant, Jenna Coleman, Billie Piper and John Hurt, but don't be surprised if there are a few unannounced cameos as well.

Here are details on the pre-show directly from BBC America:

"Celebrate 50 years of Doctor Who with host Veronica Belmont as the world awaits the global simulcast of the 50th Anniversary Special. Watch the pre-show LIVE November 23 at 2:30pm ET in the YouTube feed below!

Then tune in to BBC AMERICA for “The Day of the Doctor” at 2:50pm ET.

Check back here again at 4:00pm ET for post-show exclusives and a second primetime pre-show at 7:00pm ET."
