If you've listened to our Event Horizon 20th anniversary of Corpse Club, then you know we're big fans of the Paul W.S. Anderson sci-fi horror film here at Daily Dead, and we're thrilled that a TV series adaptation of the movie is now in development.

Variety reports that Amazon and Paramount Television are developing a potential TV series adaptation of Event Horizon, with Adam Wingard (Blair Witch, 2017's Death Note, the upcoming Godzilla vs. Kong) set to direct and executive produce.

Jeremy Platt is also executive producing the series, along with Larry Gordon and Lloyd Levin, both of whom were producers on the 1997 film, which followed the crew of a spaceship looking to rescue a ship that suddenly reappears around Neptune in the year 2047.

We'll have to wait and see if Amazon gives the green light on the series beyond the pilot stage, and we'll be sure to keep Daily Dead readers updated as more details are revealed. For those unfamiliar with Event Horizon (which starred Laurence Fishburne, Sam Neill, Kathleen Quinlan, Joely Richardson, Richard T. Jones, and Jason Isaacs), we have the official trailer below.
