Have you ever wanted to experience the horrors of the Necronomicon Ex-Mortis in your own home without the risk of losing a limb? If so, then you may be interested in Space Goat Play and StudioCanal's Evil Dead 2 board game, which looks like it will be a frightening twist on family game night.

Set to launch as a Kickstarter project on July 1st, the Evil Dead 2 board game is an upcoming horror experience from Space Goat Play (from Space Goat Publishing, a publisher of Evil Dead 2 comic books) and StudioCanal. During the game's 60–90 minute sessions, 2–6 players will try and survive a tabletop adventure based on the iconic events of Sam Raimi's 1987 horror film, which featured the return of Bruce Campbell's groovy protagonist Ash.

We have official details and images of the game below, and for future updates, stay tuned to both Daily Dead and the game's official website:

Details from CBR: "Featuring at least 8 custom figures and art depicting the terrifying and iconic characters, monsters, and locales from the film, the official Evil Dead 2 Board Game is the tabletop experience for Evil Dead 2 fans. 2-6 players will work together in 60–90 minute sessions to gather pages of the Ex-Mortis while trying to survive demon attacks, supernatural events, and avoid turning into evil deadites themselves.

The deluxe edition features exclusive figures of Ash Williams, Deadite Henrietta, and a box based on the Necronomicon Ex-Mortis, the Book of the Dead."
