Originally released in 2011, the horror comic book mini-series Undying Love is back after being out of print since 2018. Now offered on Kickstarter as a black and white giant-sized hardcover edition, we have an exclusive preview just for Daily Dead readers! We also have details on the new campaign, along with a very exciting tease of sequel plans:
Announced today, multi-media horror pioneer and artist Tomm Coker (co-creator of The Black Monday Murders, Daredevil Noir, director of The Catacombs) and writer Daniel Freedman (The Witcher: Blood Stone, creator of Birdking and Kali) have resurrected UNDYING LOVE, the 2011 action-horror miniseries originally published by Image Comics.
A new Kickstarter campaign hosted by 12-Gauge Comics (Jason Pearson's Body Bags: Artist's Edition, Narco) offers backers the chance to experience the violent vampire odyssey for the first time since it went out of print in 2018. The entire book has been remastered in stunning black-and-white art with grey tones and presented in a giant-sized 9X13 library hardcover—the 'Not Dead Yet' edition. Reward tiers include the new hardcover edition, a deluxe signed edition for a new cover and slipcase, remarqued editions, original sketches, and Coker's sketchbook, BARRI GÒTIC: The Tomm Coker Sketchbook.
Coker and Freedman plan to conclude the UNDYING LOVE love saga with a sequel set to release in 2027.
"Getting to sink our fangs again into UNDYING LOVE again has been a truly gratifying experience," explains co-creator Tomm Coker. "It's a story I've perpetually wanted to revisit, and now with the help of Keven Gardner and Kickstarter, we're exhuming this action blockbuster and preparing for its sequel."
Co-creator Daniel Freedman continues, “UNDYING LOVE was the first thing I ever wrote. Getting to return to it and finish telling the story we started 15 years ago feels like cosmic realignment. Tomm and I have always been long destined to finish this. And now is that time. I just cannot wait for readers to see what’s in store for Sargent and Mei.”
