In addition to announcing a ninth season and new showrunner for The Walking Dead at the Television Critics’ Association Press Tour, AMC revealed an April 15th premiere date for Fear The Walking Dead Season 4.

According to multiple sources, including EW and ComicBook.com, Fear the Walking Dead Season 4 will premiere on Sunday, April 15th at 10:00pm EST, directly after The Walking Dead Season 8 finale. New episodes will then continue at 9:00pm EST beginning the following Sunday.

EW recently unveiled a new batch of photos featuring new Fear The Walking Dead characters Althea (Maggie Grace), John (Garret Dillahunt), and Naomi (Jenna Elfman).

One of the new faces on Fear The Walking Dead is Lennie James, who will cross over from The Walking Dead to play Morgan, who was also showcased in two new images from the fourth season.

With Dave Erickson now working on another project for AMC, Ian Goldberg and Andrew Chambliss have taken over as the new showrunners for Fear The Walking Dead Season 4, with Scott M. Gimple, who was recently named Chief Content Officer of The Walking Dead TV universe, on board as executive producer.

Here's what Goldberg told EW about two of the new Fear The Walking Dead characters:

"Althea is someone who is uniquely qualified to survive — to thrive, even — in this world because of who she was before the apocalypse... She has a number of impressive weapons in her arsenal, including a curiosity and understanding of people that often gives her a tactical advantage."

"John is a man of fascinating contradictions. He loves people but has spent a great deal of time on his own. He’s a gentle soul — an innocent in many ways — but is no stranger to violence."

Chambliss also shared some insights into Elfman's character, Naomi:

"Naomi's a capable survivor we'll meet living on her own early on in the season. She'll have her guard up as she crosses paths with Madison and her family, and — as we'll learn over the course of the season — she'll have a very good reason for keeping people at a distance."

We'll be sure to keep you updated on Fear The Walking Dead Season 4 as more details are revealed. In the meantime, are you excited for the new season's premiere?
