After ending his longtime relationship with Warner Bros., producer Joel Silver is shopping projects to other studios and we have the first details on his latest horror project. Sanctuary has been picked up by Paramount Pictures and is said to be a "supernatural-action script" that revolves around a "young woman who is possessed by a powerful demonic force."

According to Deadline, the movie is described a mix of Wanted and Blade, where we see the young woman seeking "refuge within The Sanctuary, a Vatican-run secret organization that teaches the possessed to channel their inner demon and use its power as a weapon against evil."

The script was written by Alan Trezza and will be produced by Silver Pictures. This is an early announcement, so no casting details are available at this time. We'll provide an update to this story when the project moves past the early development stages.
