I know I say this every single year, but it really is hard for me to believe that we’re now less than two months away from Flashback Weekend 2018. Chicago’s longest-running convention returns to the Crowne Plaza Chicago O’Hare Hotel (5440 N. River Road, Rosemont) Friday, August 3rd through Sunday, August 5th, and FBW founders Mike and Mia Kerz have put together a frighteningly fun lineup that Midwest horror fans are not going to want to miss. Tickets are currently on sale and can be purchased HERE.

For Flashback 2018, both Brad Dourif and Tom Holland are headlining this year’s convention as the co-Guests of Honor, and there will be Child’s Play and Fright Night reunions and screenings happening that weekend. Joining in on the Child’s Play festivities are Fiona Dourif (Curse of Chucky, Cult of Chucky), Alex Vincent (Child’s Play, Child’s Play 2, Cult of Chucky), and Christine Elise (Child’s Play 2, Cult of Chucky), and to celebrate Fright Night, William Ragsdale (Fright Night, Fright Night Part 2), Amanda Bearse (Fright Night, Sky Sharks), Stephen Geoffreys (Fright Night, 976-EVIL), Jonathan Stark (Fright Night, House II: The Second Story), and legendary effects artist Steve Johnson (Fright Night, Ghostbusters, Species, Night of the Demons) will all be on hand.

Flashback Weekend is also hosting an Ash vs Evil Dead reunion featuring both Dana DeLorenzo and Ray Santiago, and in terms of photo ops, attendees not only have the opportunity to take their picture with Vincent and a screen-used Chucky doll, but Friday the 13th fans can also pose with five different Jasons in costume (Ken Kirzinger, Ted White, Steve Dash, Tom Morga, and C.J. Graham), and Steve Johnson will be transforming Stephen Geoffreys into “Evil Ed” one more time, too, for a very special Fright Night photo op.

Other guests in attendance at Flashback Weekend 2018 include John Russo (Night of the Living Dead, Return of the Living Dead), Michael Berryman (The Hills Have Eyes, The Devil’s Rejects), Cerina Vincent (Cabin Fever, Tales of Halloween), Lynn Lowry (The Crazies, Shivers, I Drink Your Blood), Charles Band, and Paul T. Taylor (Hellraiser: Judgment, Super). Legendary horror host Svengoolie will once again be on hand for an autograph session and will host the Sinister Visions Costume Contest on Saturday, August 4th, and this year’s special screenings include Child’s Play on Friday night and Fright Night on Saturday evening. You can purchase your FBW passes and tickets for the special screenings HERE.
