The cast is starting to come together for the upcoming reboot of The Terminator series and Emilia Clarke is officially on board to play Sarah Connor. The Game of Thrones star will be reunited with director Alan Taylor, who most recently directed Thor: The Dark World and previously directed a number of Game of Thrones episodes.

According to Deadline, Jason Clarke (Zero Dark Thirty, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes) is in negotiations to play John Connor, but he's not officially signed on yet. Arnold Schwarzenegger is also confirmed to make a return as well and we're curious to find out if it's in a starring or supporting role.

Laeta Kalorgridis (Avatar) and Patrick Lussier (Drive Angry) have been working together on the screenplay. Earlier this year, Paramount Pictures partnered with Skydance Productions and Annapurna Pictures for this reboot of The Terminator franchise and a release date has been set for July 1st, 2015.
