Earlier this week, we reported on a scoop that a new Dracula project was in the works. Now we have more details on the project, set to be directed by Unknown and Orphan helmer Jaume Collet-Serra. The film is titled Harker and feature Jonathan Harker as a Scotland Yard detective, as opposed to a solicitor closing a real estate deal from the original novel:

"...the script focuses on Jonathan Harker as the Scotland Yard detective who is tracking Dracula, and the script sets up the sleuth as a potential new franchise character..."

As I mentioned last week, I'm up for any new Dracula tale. I'll be interested in seeing how closely other areas of the script stick to the novel and what characters they decide to keep or give new roles. More information on casting and a release date should start to come in after the deal is officially made.
