Sweet, Sweet Lonely Girl Screening at Nitehawk Cinema, Presented by Shudder: "Shudder presents a special screening of the new gothic horror film, SWEET, SWEET LONELY GIRL, at Nitehawk Cinema on May 3 at 7:30 p.m.

Shudder's Curator Sam Zimmerman will introduce the film, followed by a post-screening Q&A with director A.D. Calvo and cast Erin Wilhelmi, Quinn Shephard, and Susan Kellermann!

About the film
Sweet, Sweet Lonely Girl is a gothic horror film that chronicles the experience of Adele as she goes to live as a caregiver for her aging aunt Dora. Soon after moving in, Adele meets Beth, seductive and mysterious, who tests the limits of Adele’s moral ground and sends her spiraling down a psychologically unstable and phantasmagoric path. Set against the social security crisis of the 1980 Reagan-Carter election, Sweet, Sweet Lonely Girl is an innovative play on genre, striking a bold intersection between the apparitions of a ghost story and the moralist lessons of the after school special. A Shudder Exclusive."

WTF Acquired for North American Distribution: "Midnight Releasing, one of the top distributors of independent films in the global marketplace, has recently acquired Peter Herro’s horror film “WTF” for North American distribution. Distribution plans are currently underway, which will include a North American DVD release on the indie-horror label Midnight Releasing and a wide VOD run.

About The Film:
WTF! is writer/director Peter Herro’s first feature, and his love letter to classic horror films. In 2000, Peter first delved into the world of horror with his short film Don’t Look Behind You, where a killer - in a mask – sought revenge on his friends after leaving him for dead. That film sparked a desire within Peter that grew with each year: make a full-length film. It took multiple years of writing, hustling for investors, and it required a strong commitment, and a "never give up and fight for the film you want to make" attitude from Peter and his team. In 2015, Cthulhu Crush Productions joined on as executive producers. Having his full vision realized was the goal for director Peter Herro, and he couldn't be prouder of the final result. WTF! has many moments that make you say “What The F*ck!” It is a true B-horror flick with a lot of heart...and a lot of gore.

“It took me a very long time to put together the cast and crew. I spent three months in auditions making sure the actors fit the parts, were up to the challenge, and had the same passion as I did. Equally as important was interviewing crew members to get the right people for the jobs. I am so happy and thrilled for the team I have working on this project. Everyone put in 100% and gave it their all.” – Peter Herro, Director

“WTF” will be released on VOD and DVD on August 1, 2017. The film will be available on major platforms: Amazon, iTunes, Google Play, Vudu, and Steam. With additional platforms to be announced. Official artwork provided above, and more news coming soon! Fans can get connected via the official Facebook and Twitter (#WTFmovie). There is also more information on the official website!

Synopsis:
Three years ago, girl-next-door, Rachel barely survived a brutal massacre that left her friends in pieces. Time has passed, and Rachel has moved on, but unfortunately history has a way of repeating itself. Her new set of close friends are spending spring break in a secluded house in the woods, and they have cordially invited her to join. Little does she realize that another bloodbath will soon be showing up as a plus one. Once Rachel and her friends arrive at the house, the partying, sex, and terror begins. From girls' only pillow fights to debauchery in the bedroom, it's going to be a blast...until the stabbing, flesh melting, and castration starts. Seven friends will go into a secluded house for the best spring break of their lives, but only one will be alive to post about it on Facebook the next week, as Rachel's biggest fears become a reality once again. Will Rachel survive another bloody massacre?

Remedial Horror's Fundraiser for DCADV: "April marks the 2-year anniversary of Remedial Horror! Thanks to all of those who have checked in on my inane ramblings from time to time, even as posts have been sporadic during my time here. As I get started on my third year, I have a request in mind for an anniversary present. The catch is it's not for me, and you'll have a chance of winning a bunch of presents yourself!

Today I'm announcing a giveaway for a fundraiser to benefit the Delaware Coalition Against Domestic Violence. The DCADV, per their mission statement, is "a statewide, nonprofit organization of domestic violence agencies and individuals working to eliminate domestic violence." They do a lot of fantastic work, but like any non-profit they need financial support.

I'm looking to provide that support, and that's where you come in. I've started a Go Fund Me page with a goal of raising $1000 for the DCADV. It's an aggressive goal, but I think I've got a good incentive for you to donate.

Once I hit $1000, I will have a drawing with everyone who donates being eligible for a massive bundle of prizes, including:

The Scarlet Gospels signed by Clive Barker

5"x7" Pinhead watercolor print signed by Doug Bradley

6 Month Subscription to Belladonna Magazine

Rue Morgue Magazine Prize Pack

Fright Rags "Posse of Insane Clowns" T-Shirt

Texas Chainsaw Massacre Lunchbox

Evil Dead Totebag

The winner will win every item listed above, and the sooner we reach $1000, the sooner I hold the drawing. So spread the word! Tell your friends, tell your family, tell the person standing in front of you in line for coffee.

Also, I would like to give a huge thanks to The Horror Honeys, The Faculty of Horror, and Fright Rags for contributing prizes for this giveaway. They're all amazing and if you're not familiar with their work, I highly recommend checking them out.
