As a special treat for Daily Dead readers, we're excited to exclusively premiere the music video for Cemetery Gates' new song "Fix Your Heart or Die" from their new LP Ghostnotes. Also in today's Horror Highlights: a trailer for V Wars, starring Ian Somerhalder (The Vampire Diaries) and based on the comic book series of the same name by Jonathan Maberry, and the tour dates for The Oddities & Curiosities Expo 2020.

Exclusive First Look at Cemetery Gates' "Fix Your Heart or Die" Music Video: "Cemetery Gates and Grief Thief Records is the collaboration of friends and songwriting partners of 20+ years, Gene Priest and Derek Jones. The mission of Grief Thief is to CREATE and CURATE 70’s and 80’s inspired synthesizer-based electronic horror film music. Creating horror inspired and focused music for film and television sync, trailers, and albums from soft and subtle piano tension, to full-on manic audio anxiety, Grief Thief’s sole purpose is to create the most original new sounds out of the classic nostalgia we love so much.

What began as a simple collaboration between 2 artists, Skeleton Beach, and Circadian Rhythm Section, Cemetery Gates has quickly become the central focus of both creative endeavors and grown into its own new atmosphere of experimental electronic music.

[Fix Your Heart or Die] is off their newly released LP 'Ghostnotes' that just came out on 10/31.

Tamika Jones
About the Author - Tamika Jones

Tamika hails from North Beach, Maryland, a tiny town inches from the Chesapeake Bay.She knew she wanted to be an actor after reciting a soliloquy by Sojourner Truth in front of her entire fifth grade class. Since then, she's appeared in over 20 film and television projects. In addition to acting, Tamika is the Indie Spotlight manager for Daily Dead, where she brings readers news on independent horror projects every weekend.

The first horror film Tamika watched was Child's Play. Being eight years old at the time, she remembers being so scared when Chucky came to life that she projectile vomited. It's tough for her to choose only one movie as her favorite horror film, so she picked two: Nosferatu and The Stepford Wives (1975).
