The festival will be held between November 26 – December 2, 2018 in Lublin and December 6 – 9, 2018 in Warsaw (Poland).

The SFF is the biggest genre film festival in Poland. Our principal aim is to present dark, bizarre, intense and beautiful cinema.

At the very core of the festival, there are Polish and European premiere screenings of the world's best genre films produced in 2018 and 2017 (inter alia horror movies, thrillers, dark dramas, black comedies, sci-fi and fantasy movies, animations), which have not yet been distributed in our country and which cannot be seen at any other festival in Poland. The screened films are made both by outstanding contemporary film-makers, as well as debutants.

We encourage you to submit your full-length and short movies. Feature films are given the greatest preference, yet documentaries and animations are not excluded from participation.

The films produced after January 1, 2017 are eligible for entries, preferably the moving pictures which have not yet been presented at public screenings in Poland. However, the films that have already been shown in our country can also be accepted in special cases.

During the SFF, the Audience Awards in 6 categories are given (more information at www.splatfilmfest.com).

Breaking Glass acquired rights to the film in June in a deal negotiated between Breaking Glass CEO Rich Wolff and writer/director Stephen Michael Giglio of Pomerantz Pictures. The film will arrive on DVD & VOD on September 25, 2018.

Morales (Dagger Kiss), Gina Destra (“Trading Spaces”, Split), and Mike Sutton (Hunting for Justice,An Ambitious Man).

"Epidemic is a psychological horror film, examining how human beings are beset by addiction and sickness that arises when our desire to feel good gets out of control and turns into a disease”, said Giglio.

A deadly pathogen is unleashed and unknowingly carried to Dana’s 30th birthday party, where her estranged father, Rufus, is coming to make amends. What begins as a family drama soon escalates to a horrific turning point as the epidemic spreads and Rufus fights to save his daughter’s life.

“Director Stephen Michael Giglio has crafted not just a chilling body horror tale, but also an intimate look at a family broken apart by addiction and how far some will go to save the ones they love“, said Wolff. “We’re thrilled to bring this complex, skin crawling feature film debut to audiences."

About the Author - Tamika Jones

Tamika hails from North Beach, Maryland, a tiny town inches from the Chesapeake Bay.She knew she wanted to be an actor after reciting a soliloquy by Sojourner Truth in front of her entire fifth grade class. Since then, she's appeared in over 20 film and television projects. In addition to acting, Tamika is the Indie Spotlight manager for Daily Dead, where she brings readers news on independent horror projects every weekend.

The first horror film Tamika watched was Child's Play. Being eight years old at the time, she remembers being so scared when Chucky came to life that she projectile vomited. It's tough for her to choose only one movie as her favorite horror film, so she picked two: Nosferatu and The Stepford Wives (1975).
