In our second Horror Highlights of the day, we have photos of Horror Decor's Monster Squad-inspired collectibles, details on El Rey Network's new Danny Trejo-hosted series, Man at Arms, home media info for Detour, SXSW screening details for The Transfiguration, and details on Isle of the Dead's VOD release.
The Monster Squad-Inspired Items from Horror Decor: "For this release, we looked to our favorite squad of monster hunting kids for inspiration! We tried hard to make sure these items aren't bogus. Here are the details:
First up, Wolfman Nards hanging ornaments! Wolfman's got nards, now you can, too! Perfect for hanging on your car rear-view mirror.
Scary German Guy makes a killer pie! This strawberry-rhubarb scented candle is available as a medium or large glass candle and features red wax, with a tan crust colored top layer.
Next up is the cuddly version of Frankenstein's crate. This 15" tall pillow will be the perfect addition to your home.
The crate design inspired us to try something new, too! For a limited time, we will be offering this decorative hand stained and painted crate, which has the ability to stand on its own, or be hung on your wall (wall hanging hardware included). Quantities are limited.
We've added two more styles of shaped wax melts: green tea scented Frankenstein heads (8 per bag) and vampire teeth (4 per bag) with a scent that combines notes of citrus, floral, and patchouli that will bite through the stench in any room!
Take your love for Stephen King on the road with this 2-pack of car air fresheners. Smells like candy!
Don't forget, the Stephen King Rules design is also available as a pillow (now available in small and large sizes), a garden flag and a kitchen pot holder!
The Transfiguration at SXSW: "An official selection at the Cannes Film Festival, writer/director Michael O’Shea’s debut feature The Transfiguration follows troubled teen Milo who hides behind his fascination with vampire lore. When he meets the equally alienated Sophie, the two form a bond that begins to challenge Milo’s dark obsession, blurring his fantasy into reality. A chilling portrait of violence, The Transfiguration is an atmospheric thriller set against the grit of New York City.

Isle of the Dead on VOD: Press Release: "February 27, Los Angeles, CA: Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has released the "Resident Evil" inspired Syfy film, "Isle of the Dead," online through various VOD platforms. The zombie action film stars D.C. Douglas (who voiced "Resident Evil" villain Albert Wesker in seven games), television teen idol, Joey Lawrence, and WWE Diva, Maryse Mizanin.
The plot involves a military squad (Joey Lawrence, Maryse Mizanin) that is sent to a deserted island in the Pacific Ocean in order to secure top secret records involving a zombie epidemic that wiped out a large covert scientific compound. But the lone surviving scientist (D.C. Douglas) has plans for the future of the human race that don't include his being rescued."
