Dark Prism Release Details and Trailer: Press Release: "Dylan Mars Greenberg, the 18 year old filmmaker behind "Amityville: Vanishing Point" has at last released their long awaited art-horror-comedy-adventure film "DARK PRISM" on Amazon Prime and Instant Video.

The film was previously covered in VICE (https://i-d.vice.com/en_us/article/watch-mac-demarco-act-in-trailer-for-new-horror-film) PITCHFORK (http://pitchfork.com/news/61623-mac-demarco-appears-in-clip-from-horror-film-the-dark-prism/) and even earned Mars a one - on - one interview with FANGORIA magazine (http://www.fangoria.com/new/exclusive-clip-qa-dylan-greenbergs-d-i-y-dark-prism/).

The film is about three unique and strange women, each battling their own demons, in both a literal and metaphorical sense. Although they exist in different times and perhaps different worlds, their lives will soon collide due to the mysterious appearance of a massive prism. Slowly, the world as one knows it disassembles, and the nonsensical becomes the sensical... in Dark Prism.

It stars Sofe Cote, Yolpie Kaiser, Chandani Smith, Stephanie Domini, Max Husten, Jurgen Azazel Munster and Robert Prichard (Toxic Avenger) and features appearances by Troma's Lloyd Kaufman, Blondie's keyboardist Matt Katz-Bohen, platinum selling indie music superstar Mac DeMarco, and adult film star Ophelia Rain.

The film was the official selection of Festivalito in the Canary Islands, of which both Greenberg and Kaufman were attendees. Jesus Palacios, the most respected horror and fantasy critic in Spain, had this to say about the film:

"It was an acid trip with hints of John Waters, Warhol, Kenneth Anger, Guy Maddin, Henenlotter, Stephen King, Nick Zedd, Harmony Korine or Richard O'Brien, to name a few. The movie is a true artifact of the queer hypermodernism and inevitably fascinating.

  • Tamika Jones
About the Author - Tamika Jones

Tamika hails from North Beach, Maryland, a tiny town inches from the Chesapeake Bay.She knew she wanted to be an actor after reciting a soliloquy by Sojourner Truth in front of her entire fifth grade class. Since then, she's appeared in over 20 film and television projects. In addition to acting, Tamika is the Indie Spotlight manager for Daily Dead, where she brings readers news on independent horror projects every weekend.

The first horror film Tamika watched was Child's Play. Being eight years old at the time, she remembers being so scared when Chucky came to life that she projectile vomited. It's tough for her to choose only one movie as her favorite horror film, so she picked two: Nosferatu and The Stepford Wives (1975).
