Back in 2016, Hugh Scandrett celebrated 50 years since the airing of the last new episode of the original Addams Family series by creating a LEGO set replica of the show's iconic mansion, and now Scandrett has returned to the house on 0001 Cemetery Lane by creating a modular version of the mansion, scaling back from 7,000 parts to under 3,000 bricks without sacrificing impeccable details and a pure passion for the seminal CBS series.

As with his first Addams Family mansion creation, you can support Scandrett's modular version by clicking the "Support" button on its LEGO Ideas page. Scandrett lowered the number of parts for the modular version to meet the LEGO Ideas limit of 3,000 parts or less.

For those unfamiliar with how LEGO Ideas works, once a project surpasses 10,000 supporters, it is officially reviewed by LEGO and could eventually make it onto store shelves as an official product.

You can tour The Addams Family mansion modular version in the photos below. To learn more and to cast a vote for Scandrett's ode to one of television's most creepy and kooky families, visit LEGO Ideas online.

From Hugh Scandrett: "After my original 2016 LEGO Addams Family Mansion received such great IDEAS fan support (10,000 votes!), I have created a Modular version keeping under the 3,000 part IDEAS limit. Although some reduction in detail was inevitable as the original had over 7,000 parts, the Mansion remains in its full glory. I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed building it!

From the 1964-66 TV sitcom “The Addams Family”, this is the Mansion and family! The original project was an “end of series” anniversary tribute to the last new episode aired on April 8, 1966 - 50 years earlier!

The Addams Family was a group of fictional characters created by American cartoonist Charles Addams that includes Morticia, Gomez, Wednesday, Pugsley, Uncle Fester, Grandmama, Cousin It, Lurch and Thing. They lived in this Mansion at 001 Cemetery Lane.

Construction details:

  • 3 floor Mansion, each floor is a removable segment, like standard LEGO modular construction

  • A full glass greenhouse
  • Includes 8 minifigs: Morticia, Gomez, Wednesday, Pugsley, Uncle Fester, Grandmama, Cousin It and Lurch
  • The build includes 2,975 original LEGO pieces, no modifications
