Eaglemoss Collections is known for their wide range of collectibles, including Star Trek ships, James Bond cars, and figures from The Walking Dead TV series, but their latest line of collectibles is going to be of particular interest to fans of the Alien and Predator franchises, and they’ve given us a preview of their new figures.

Featuring characters from the Alien and Predator franchises, including the AVP movies and Prometheus, the Alien and Predator Figurine Collection is a partnership between Eaglemoss Collections and Twentieth Century Fox.

All figures are approximately 1:16 in scale, cast in metallic resin, and hand painted. The figures have a considerable amount of detail for their size, but I was especially impressed with the base design, which allowed Eaglemoss artists to have a bit more fun and flexibility with their creative approaches. It was a nice touch to see Brett’s hat at the base of the Xenomorph and the partly submerged Predator mask near the feet of the Predator figure, giving each item a unique presentation quality.

Eaglemoss offers these figures through a subscription service, where you get the original "Alien" for $9.99 and two figures after that each month for $28.95 (+S/H). With multiple companies, including Eaglemoss, offering a wide range of Alien and Predator collectibles, it may be tough to know if these are right for you. But given the affordable price and impressive detail of these figures, especially the Xenomorph, the subscription service is a great way for someone interested in these characters to kick off a new figure collection. Also, for those that like the blind box element of collecting, it’s definitely fun to have the surprise of what’s going to show up on your doorstep each month.

While we have a good idea of what their releases will be for the rest of the year, their distribution format and licensing agreement gives Eaglemoss the ability to do a deep dive into the Alien and Predator franchises, giving fans the opportunity to collect characters that we’ve never seen or rarely do see in action figure form. I’d be especially interested in seeing if they release figures of characters like Dillon from Alien 3 or Burke from Aliens and, for seasoned collectors, I think that’s where the real interest will lie, too.
