Island Plot Information: Described as "A modern day Lord of the Flies", Island has finished filming and will be released later this year. A trailer will be released soon, but until then, we have the plot synopsis and cast list: "Set during a nuclear disaster, a group of students are trapped in a school. While some desire to build a new society, a few attempt to subvert the situation for their own purposes."

Island is directed by Rehan Malik, and stars Donald Bentley, Samuel Ranger, Thomas James Longley, Lauren Kellegher, Gabriella Montrose, Tom Hurley, Alex Harvey, Robbie Curran, Matthew Ferdenzi, Bryony Neylan-Francis, Waseem Abbas.

Grimm Up North 3 Announced: Manchester's Grimm Up North film festival has recently been announced and will be taking place on October 6th - 9th. "Grimm Up North is back this October, bigger, better, bloodier, more brutal than ever. Manchester’s Festival of Horror, Fantasy, Science Fiction and Strangeness celebrates its third year with an unholy four-day carnival of the darker, edgier, more extreme aspects of cinema.
