Casting Updates for Mania: "Jessica Cameron and Jonathan Scott Higgins have re-teamed with their Truth or Dare producer Mem Ferda on their next 3 films. Ferda will serve as the sole producer on all three movies. They have cast actress Tristan Risk of the Soska Sister’s American Mary in the feature film Mania. Actress Ellie Church of the grindhouse film, Time to Kill has also joined the production. Risk will play the role of Brooke and Church will play the role of Mel.
Mania is one of three features in Jessica Cameron’s triple feature cross-country extravaganza. In it, Risk will play the crazed lesbian lover of Church’s character Mel. It will mark her 2nd feature as a director from a script Higgins wrote. Desolation will be the 2nd feature film and directed by Ryan M. Andrews from a script he wrote. Risk has also signed on to star as the villain in Andrews’ movie. A feature length documentary titled Kill the Production Assitant, will chronicle the making of this very ambitious project.
Principal photography begins on November 3rd and they will be filming all three films while traveling cross-country in an RV! The filmmakers had a campaign on their website where fans helped decide which states to film in. The top states with the most pre-orders came down to California, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Ohio, and Alabama.
Tristan Risk has this to say about Mania:
“As someone who self-identifies as queer, I'm also happy to have a story where the two protagonists are two women in love, and the struggles they try to overcome together. It's a beautiful and dark story.”

Zombie Hood Trailer and Release Details: "The initial infection begins after the virus spreads through a nightclub and is quickly transmitted throughout the city. After a night of disturbances across the whole United Kingdom, the police and emergency services lose control of the situation, with hospitals overrun and the dead coming back to life to attack and devour the living. With the cities now the domain of the undead, the survivors flee the built up areas and take refuge in the countryside and small villages. Zombie Hood follows the story of a small group of survivors who are thrown together in the outskirts of Nottingham. Like Robin Hood and his merry men, the rag tag band look to Sherwood Forest for sanctuary, but soon find out that even the countryside isn't a safe haven. With food and supplies in short demand, the group find themselves arguing over their plans for survival, which isn't helped by Sam, a wayward teenager with a confused and dangerous personality.
BrinkVision releases the U.K. horror Zombie Hood in North America on VOD and Limited Edition DVD on October 21st! Zombie Hood has been called impressive, gory, odd-humored, and fun. The film is fragmented into parts, introducing characters skillfully into the chaos that is the post-apocalyse battleover of England."
Nathaniel Screaming First Details: "It's late at night. You're on your way home and the streets are empty. You hear footsteps behind you. Before you can turn around, IT lunges at you, knocking you to the ground. Your heart races. You scream out for help and fight for your life. Finally, you come to eye-to-eye with your attacker...it's a Zombie! No, that can't be. Zombies aren't real. At least they weren't. Until today.
Barely escaping, you race home and dial 911. You're put on hold. Emergency services must be overwhelmed. You flip on the TV to see how far the world has fallen into the apocalypse, but nothing has changed. No one seems to know about this…except you. It hasn't spread yet. You still have a chance to get your loved ones to safety before all hell breaks loose.
But would they believe? Would the faith and love they have in you be outweighed by their disbelief in what seems impossible?
This was the spark that gave birth to Nathaniel Screaming. A film steeped in the long history of Zombies in film. Original in concept and execution, Nathaniel Screaming will no doubt appeal to the hardcore fans of this genre, but also to newcomers, with its unique approach to the zombie apocalypse.
Nathaniel Screaming is slated to go into production in December 2014 and for us to make the best product possible, we need your help. Right now, we have raised $40K but need another $40K to make this film right."

Journals of Horror Release Details: "Journals of Horror: Found Footage on Paper Coming This Halloween.
In 1999, The Blair Witch Project ushered in a new sub-genre of horror called Found Footage. And while Blair Witch is credited for bringing attention to the first person POV, found footage style of film-making, there were films shot like it before 1999, going back as early to 1998's The Last Broadcast and back even further (nearly two decades) with 1980's Cannibal Holocaust, which is often cited as the first to utilize the now popular format. But even older films such as Texas Chainsaw Massacre and The Town That Dreaded Sundown have the same gritty shade and documentary feel.
"I waited for someone else to do it," West confessed. "It just seemed like a no-brainer for a horror anthology: to take the concept of found footage and transplant it to the page. Imagine finding a diary partially buried in the woods and reading a missing person's account of a monster or dark force pursuing them. Now imagine an entire evidence locker filled with transcripts like this and you can start to picture where I am going with Journals of Horror."
West and publisher Pleasant Storm Entertainment are thrilled with the roster of authors who have contributed to Journals of Horror. This anthology is filled with some of the hottest talent in the horror fiction genre: P.D. Cacek, Todd Keisling, Glenn Rolfe, Robin Dover, DS Ullery, Essel Pratt, Michael Thomas-Knight, John Ledger, Paul D. Marks, Sonja Thomas, Paula Cappa, Stuart Keane, Darryl Dawson, Crystal Leflar, Lori R. Lopez, Michael Seese, Jeff O'Brien, Matt Hayward, Joseph Ramshaw, Michael McGlade, DJ Tyrer, Wesley Thomas, Regina West, Evan Purcell, Robert McGough, Erik Gustafson, Christopher Alan Broadstone and Robert Holt. West himself plans a contribution.
Journals of Horror: Found Fiction will be released on Kindle on 10-31-14, with a paperback edition to follow before Christmas. You can [also] pre-order a copy."

When Black Birds Fly Trailer: "Heaven is a beautiful, clean suburban paradise. Every block is populated by lush trees and lovely row homes. People are free to roam and do whatever they please, as long as they follow one simple rule: DO NOT communicate with “The Evil One” that dwells on the other side of a giant wall that circles the town, which is under 24 hour surveillance by a team of soldiers wearing gas masks. The ruler of the town is a man named Caine, who plasters images of himself all around, insisting that his citizens trust and love him. A small child becomes obsessed with the seemingly increasing flocks of black birds that populate the town. One day after chasing one he discovers a talking kitten with a broken leg, who begs Marius and his classmate Eden to crawl through a hole in the wall to help her. The kids decide to do it and she repays them by introducing them to a brightly colored fruit that grows wildly on the other side of the wall. After consuming it the kitten brings them to meet the Evil One, who attempts to teach them the forbidden knowledge that Caine is hiding from them all."
