Casting and Production Details on Tales of Halloween: "Epic Pictures Group announced the addition of Lucky McKee to the highly anticipated horror anthology Tales of Halloween.
"I'm delighted to be included with so many filmmakers I respect and admire,” said Mckee”. “The anthology format shows how pliable the horror genre is. Each artist on this project is stretching the possibilities to their limits. For die-hard horror fans and general audiences, this is sure to be an evergreen title for many Halloweens to come."
McKee and ten directors have joined forces with Epic Pictures under the name The October Society to create a series of interconnected stories, each with a unique Halloween theme. They include Darren Lynn Bousman (Saw II, III & IV), Axelle Carolyn (Soulmate), Adam Gierasch (Night of the Demons), Andrew Kasch (Never Sleep Again: The Elm Street Legacy), Neil Marshall (The Descent), Mike Mendez (Big Ass Spider!), Dave Parker (The Hills Run Red), Ryan Schifrin (Abominable), John Skipp (Stay at Home Dad), and Paul Solet (Grace). Directors Kasch and Skipp are to co-direct one of the short films together.
Currently in production in Los Angeles, Axelle Carolyn created the concept and brought the filmmakers together for this unique production. Tales of Halloween is being produced by Patrick Ewald and Shaked Berenson of Epic Pictures Group along with Mike Mendez and Axelle Carolyn.
“We are more than thrilled to have Lucky round out our team of talented directors for Tales of Halloween,” said Epic Pictures Group CEO Patrick Ewald. “Lucky will share his unique point-of-view to the project that will be exciting to audiences of the horror genre.”
Ten stories will be woven together by their shared theme of Halloween night in an American suburb, where ghouls, imps, aliens and axe murderers appear for one night only to terrorize unsuspecting residents.
The directors have created a manifesto with rules to create their films based on the values of Halloween night. The antithesis of the Dogme 95 manifesto, the directors will not be frugal with special effects, props and musical score, and have already attracted notable talent in the horror genre, such as composers Frank Ilfman (Big Bad Wolves) and Joseph Bishara (The Conjuring)."

Trailer Released for The Sugar Skull Girls: "Three demonic sisters who resemble neo-goth voodoo dolls are accidentally conjured from the other side during a failed attempt to raise a little girl from the dead. With impeccable fashion sense and teen aged angst, the Sugar Skull Girls will stop at nothing to escape the clutches of The Pale Witch, the ruler of The Shadow world.
The First sneak peak trailer at Potent Media's up coming Kids/Horror series The Sugar Skull Girls. The Sugar Skull Girls has a who's who of horror with Leslie Easterbrook (The Devil's Rejects), Michael Berryman (The Hills Have Eyes), John Amplas (Day of the Dead, Martin), Addy Miller (The Walking Dead), and Carmela Hayslett (Apocalypse Kiss).
Potent Media writer/director pushes the cheesy fun with this tongue in cheek homage to 80's kids movies like Gremlins, Hocus Pocus, and The Dark Crystal."

Chainsaw Sally - The Movie and The Good Sisters Distribution Details: "Bloody Bombshell Entertainment and Fatality Films have partnered with Some Folks Entertainment to secure a distribution deal with Black Wolf Media for a double-feature release of the films Chainsaw Sally - The Movie and The Good Sisters. Both films were written and directed by cult horror icon Jimmyo Burril.

Traumatized after witnessing the murder of her parents as a young girl, the film follows an older Sally as she grows up to be a serial killer. The Good Sisters, also starring A. Burril alongside legendary scream queen Debbie Rochon, features the duo as practicing witches who hide their discretions from their neighbors- until a new neighbor threatens their practice with his own secret life.
Release dates will be announced in 2015.
This news comes ahead of a second announcement - Bloody Bombshell Entertainment and Fatality Films will be moving into the second phase of pre-production on Chainsaw Sally: The Animated Series this winter. Based on the original Chainsaw Sally film and television series, J. Burril returns as the creative force, and A. Burril will be reprising her role of Sally. Rochon joins the cast as Blondie. Dark Origins Released: "Award winning short horror film Dark Origins has been released online after a fright-filled tour of the international film festival circuit. Written and directed by Australian based screenwriter Evan Randall Green, the tense character-driven film tells the story of a psychologist who discovers the terrifying trauma haunting her young patient may in fact lurk beyond the girl's fractured mind.
After a successful crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo to raise partial production costs, the low-budget short went into production mid-2013, where it was shot in two and a half days with a small crew and was completed before the year's end. Selected to screen at over twenty film festivals around the world, the film was nominated for several awards and took home top honours for BEST NARRATIVE SHORT at both the Fright Night Film Festival and the LA Cinema Festival of Hollywood. Rising actors Rosie Keogh and Jane Barry also received acknowledgement for their roles as Ella and Kay respectively, with Rosie Keogh being awarded BEST ACTRESS from three of her four nominations. But the road to finding success, even on a small scale, isn't always the smoothest.
“Making this film was an enormous challenge without a large crew on hand or a bigger budget like several of the short films we competed with at festivals,” said Green. “However, if you put your mind to it and surround yourself with talented people who share your vision, anything is possible.”"
