Jurassic Park Reboot Talks?

Rumors of a Jurassic Park sequel pop up every so often, but The Hollywood Reporter has learned that Steven Spielberg and Universal are exploring the idea of rebooting the Jurassic Park franchise.

Spielberg has been meeting with writer Mark Protosevich (Thor, I Am Legend) to discuss ideas, but it is not known whether these "reboot" talks are regarding rebooting the original source material or simply creating a fourth Jurassic Park film that stands on its own.

As THR notes, Universal doesn't have too many franchises they can count on for major new releases other than The Fast and The Furious, so reviving Jurassic Park makes a lot of sense for them. We should be hearing whether or not these talks turn into something more substantial in the near future.
