There have been a number of horror films already acquired after making their world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival and we have news on an acquisition deal that was recently sealed for Life After Beth, a new zombie movie starring Aubrey Plaza and Dane DeHaan.

"Zach is devastated by the unexpected death of his girlfriend, Beth. When she mysteriously returns, he gets a second chance at love. Soon his whole world turns upside down…"

Directed and written by Jeff Baena, the main cast of Life After Beth includes Aubrey Plaza, Dane DeHaan, John C. Reilly, Molly Shannon, Cheryl Hines, Paul Reiser. According to Variety, US rights to the movie have been acquired by A24 and DirecTV. The plan is for a 30-day exclusive window on DirecTV before the movie is given a theatrical release. No release date has been set, but we'd expect to see it by the end of the year and it's likely that it will be given a limited theatrical roll-out. We'll be sure to keep Daily Dead readers posted on any VOD, Blu-ray, and DVD release details.
