They made many of us think twice about dipping our toes into oceans, lakes, or even the local swimming pool, and now, shark movies are swimming back to the big screen with recent films like The Shallows and 47 Meters Down. For many moviegoers, though, it all started with Jaws, and the Corpse Club thought it was the perfect time to take a summer swim into the four-film franchise as well as the high tide of shark movies that emerged in the decades following the Orca's doomed voyage. So hop in the water with us (but make sure you wait 30 minutes after eating) and keep an eye out for fins...

Titled "JAWS and Shark-Themed Cinema," episode 6 of Corpse Club features co-hosts Heather Wixson, Patrick Bromley, Scott Drebit, and Derek Anderson. This time around, the ghoulish gang discusses their go-to shark movies, the Jaws franchise as a whole, the recent theatrical rise of the summer shark movie, their thoughts on 47 Meters Down, and shark-themed recommendations for horror fans to sink their teeth into.

Upcoming episodes of Corpse Club will continue to see a shakeup of the host lineup and format, featuring additional members of the Daily Dead team, as well as special guests from all corners of the horror entertainment world. This is the beginning of a new era for Daily Dead, and we couldn't be more excited to share Corpse Club with our online community of passionate horror lovers!
